Chiang Mai, Thailand

Day 1
Arrived early in the morning. The trip took almost 3 hours. We spent the whole day walking around the city. We tried taking a "red car" later during the day. *phew* That became our main means of transport around town. Got sunburnt while walking around the city. The weather was pretty hot.

Day 2
Went to the royal flora show/exhibition. There were many gardens and flowers from 22 diff countries etc. The land used was alot. We spent 3 hours walking around and getting more sunburnt. It was set up to celebrate the king's 60th year ascending the throne. To show their support, they wear yellow shirts with a crest at the top left corner saying something like "we love the king". They wear it on mondays.
Later, we went to an elephant camp to see the elephants perform. We also rode elephants. It was pretty fun.
After that, we went to a temple, i forgot the name..
Dinner was the best i ever tasted. We went to a restraunt in the city. The tom yum soup was excellent. The curries were nice too.

Day 3
We took a 4 hour bus journey early in the morning to Maesai. We visited Yang shizhong chuandao and his wife. They owned a hostel. After eating lunch at his house, his wife drove us in her pick up truck to visit the golden triangle, opium house museum and sent us to Chiang Rai to take a bus back to our hotel.

Day 4
Missionary Li tian shou drove us from our hotel to their orphanage to look around. (I hear azds also helped out there before) We got to see the life in an orphanage.

Day 5
Went back to Singapore.

Conclusion
An educational trip and a good experience.
